Charlene Curtis, LCSW

Welcome to LaMora Psychological Associates. My name is Charlene Curtis. I have provided you with this information so that you may have a better idea of what may be involved in your, or your child’s therapy, and of the work we may be doing together.

I am a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working with people of all ages and is experienced in addressing a variety of concerns. Through an eclectic approach, I use a variety of therapeutic techniques originating from major theoretical disciplines while drawing from past professional and educational experience. I have completed Part I and Part II of Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have training in Meditation and Visualization techniques. I incorporate these regularly in my clinical practice with adults and children. I treat people with a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury.

Certified through the state of New Hampshire as an Early Supports and Services provider, I am experienced in the evaluation of children’s development and providing services to children birth to three in the context of their home and with their family. My specialty in this area is social and emotional development and behavioral concerns. Through Early Supports and Services I have had the opportunity to receive extensive training on methods to address behavioral and emotional concerns in children, trainings and education such as Active Parenting, how to develop and implement a Positive Behavioral Support plan, Applied Behavioral Analysis and Theraplay.

My work with educators, speech, occupational and physical therapists and has provided valuable information regarding sensory, motor, language and processing difficulties that contribute to educational and social emotional concerns. In addition to direct work with families, my education, training and clinical work has been a natural pathway to working with older children, teenagers and their families.
