Allison Sharpe, LCMH

Allison Sharpe, LCMHC, has recently joined LaMora Psychological Associates, P.A.in Nashua as a mental health counselor, providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. Sharpe is currently accepting new patients and accepts most major insurances.

LaMora Psychological Associates is a multidisciplinary group practice addressing issues in mental health, personal growth and happiness and the enhancement of the human condition. With over 250 years combined of professional experience and leadership within the mental health community, the professionals at LaMora help patients face all the struggles and the transitions in life. We have 11 experienced professional clinicians including a psychiatrist, psychologists and licensed clinical social workers and licensed clinical mental health counselors.

“Multiple studies have shown that the majority of primary care physician visits involve some type of mental health concern – integrating the physical and mental is critical,” said Sharpe. “I am looking to form partnerships with the physician communities to manage the mental health component of a patient’s care including pain management, stress reduction, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety.”

Sharpe comes to LaMora with more than a decade of experience working with a wide range of issues including depressive, anxiety, adjustment disorders, women's issues, substance abuse, grief and loss, crisis intervention, domestic violence, and trauma.” Sharpe added:

“I connect easily with people and have the ability to make people feel at ease. I feel that it is a privilege to sit with people who allow you to bear witness to their lives, stressors, and pain. I provide clients with a safe and comfortable atmosphere in which to explore their thoughts, feelings and concerns. I listen actively and respectfully and tailor my work to the individual needs of each person. I feel that therapy is an interactive process and enjoy working with people to develop a plan that works for them.”

Prior to LaMora, Sharpe was with Choate Emergency Services in Lowell for three years where she worked as a crisis clinician. She also worked at The Center for Family Development in Lowell where she worked as an outpatient psychotherapist for close to five years. Sharpe graduated from Lesley University with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Sharpe is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Massachusetts and a licensed clinical mental health counselor in New Hampshire.
